Strengthening Medical Education and Research in Southeast Asia
Established in Monaco in August 2021 as a medium for healthcare philanthropy by the Swiss-Filipino couple David and Hazel Zuellig
ABOUT US
ZUELLIG INITIATIVES PHILANTHROPIQUES, is a Monaco-based association which aims to expand the scope and improve the quality of medical education, training and research in Southeast Asia.
It was officially recognized by the Monaco government in September 2021 and became a partner in the Organismes de Solidarité Internationale (OSI) Monégasques in October 2021. Its original declaration was published in the Journal of Monaco in January 2023.
STRATEGIC MANDATE
The Zuellig Initiatives Philanthropiques hopes to enjoin its future members and advocates to improve the landscape of medical education, training and research in Southeast Asia by providing funding and strategic advisory support to medical and research organizations, academic institutions and individual project proponents.
While based in Asia, the couple was actively engaged in different philanthropic projects in relation to the Zuellig Family Foundation (Philippines), Asia Philanthropy Circle (Singapore), Rotary Club of Makati Premier District. Philippine Cancer Society, Philippine League Against Epilepsy, Philippine Alliance for Brain and Spine Tumors, Let’s Save the Brain Foundation and the University of the Philippines.
